What Does KA HĀ Do
KA HĀ advocates on behalf of Native Hawaiians at every level possible. It works to realize its goals through programs like the Kupuna Roundtable and the 2009 California Native Hawaiian Forum.
Kupuna Roundtable, March 2009
In partnership with Statehood Hawaii and Visual Communications, KA HĀ hosted a day of interviews, video screenings, and discussions about Hawaii’s statehood. The panel of six kupuna represented both northern and southern California. The interviews and roundtable will be aired in Hawai΄i on ΄Ōlelo.
2009 California Native Hawaiian Forum, April 2009
All Native Hawaiians were invited to participate in a day long forum with presenters from Oahu’s Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA). KA HĀ and KMOKI of Northern California worked collaboratively to provide this resource.
